East Punjab Urban Rent Restriction Act, 1949, (III of 1949) Section 13(a) – Bonafide requirement – Subsequent events – Death of the landlord – What is to be considered is as to whether the need of the landlord existed on that date or not – Death of the landlord would not in any manner adversely affect his case qua the bonafide requirement, more so since the demised premises as pleaded by him in his petition was required for his daughter and her children – Subsequent events in the instant case, i.e. daughter of the landlord getting a house of her husband in Chandigarh and the landlord dying during the pendency of the instant revision petition, would not eclipse the requirement of the landlord (since deceased).
