Registration Act, 1908 (16 of  1908) Section 17(1A) (as inserted by Act 48 of 2008)

Transfer of Property Act, 1882 (4 of  1882) Section 53-A.            

Amendment is only for the purpose of Section 53-A of the Transfer of Property Act, 1882 – Still further, in the present case, there is no delivery of possession at the time of entering into agreement to sell –  Hence, the agreement to sell was not required to be registered
