Punjab Land Revenue Act S. 16 – Financial Commissioner, Haryana, would have the jurisdiction to entertain the revision petition as the proceedings have been initiated in the year 2006.

(ORAL) Having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties and keeping in view the fact that the order dated 27.04.2017 (Annexure P-6) passed by the Financial Commissioner, Haryana, in the light of the notification dated 10.04.2017 amending the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 2017, which amendment has been clarified on the statement of the Advocate General, Haryana, which finds mention in the titled as ‘Ram Singh v. State of Haryana & others', cannot survive as the Financial Commissioner, Haryana, would have the jurisdiction to entertain the revision petition as the proceedings have been initiated in the year 2006.
In view of the above, order dated 27.04.2017 (Annexure P-6) passed by the Financial Commissioner, Haryana, is hereby set aside.
The revision petition is ordered to be restored to its original number.
Parties are directed to appear before the Financial Commissioner, Haryana, on 12.02.2019. interim order as passed by this Court in the present case on 22.01.2018 shall continue till the decision on the application for stay filed along with the revision petition.
